When Tim Tam’s ‘Mockingbird’ Came Back Again: A Year Later
TIM TAM is back!
In addition to his time on the HBO series “The Leftovers,” Tim has recently penned a book, “Mockingbirds,” and will soon begin filming the film version of the best-selling book series.
Tam and his wife, Jessica, both writers and producers on “The Mockingbird,” are thrilled to be back together, but don’t expect any dramatic reunions.
In fact, Tim is planning to write a new book to mark the end of the book series and will also begin filming a new film version in 2018.
“We’ll do a movie this summer, but I don’t want to say exactly what it will be yet, because it’s very difficult to say,” Tam said, when asked if he will revisit “The Lying Detective” or “The Girl on the Train.”
“But the one thing I will say is that we are definitely going to be shooting a new movie in 2018.”
Tam, who is the co-writer and executive producer on “Mockery,” has said that “MOCKINGBIRD” is a “perfect movie” and “a great character study” that he feels “can really get the story out of its head.”
Tim said he has “the same love for this book that I had for ‘The LYING DETECTIVE,’ so we will definitely be able to work together again.”
As for his time in “The Prisoner” trilogy, Tim said that he was “overwhelmed” by the experience, but “couldn’t be happier” to be working with writer/director Michael Moore, whose film “The Matrix” won the Palme d’Or at Cannes last year.
Tim Tam, creator and co-showrunner of “The Walking Dead,” said he is “so honored and blessed” to have been given the opportunity to work with “The Terminator” creator George Romero on the upcoming “Terminator: Genisys” film.
The two have worked together on several projects including the “Terminators: Genies” TV series, and Tim has also been involved with the upcoming remake of the “Powers” TV show.
“The story of ‘MOCKERINGBIRDS’ and ‘The MOCKERINGS’ are very similar,” Tim said.
“I think we both were influenced by ‘The Prisoners’ but we had a different approach.”
